Terms and FAQ's
The wedding and events world is a bit nuts sometimes!
Hopefully this will help to clear some of it up for you x
Bookings
I open my books 18 months in advance, but you can enquire earlier if you'd like me to pencil in your date before securing it.
I require a 25% non-refundable deposit (or a minimum of $100) to be paid when you book. I do this so I can confidently turn away other possible bookings to protect your date.
During peak wedding season, or for bookings made far in advance I require a minimum booking number of four people. However closer to the date or off season I'm more than happy to take smaller bookings - so don't hesitate to reach out!
Any changes to numbers or location should be made 6 months prior to the booking. I will do my best to accomodate changes where possible, however within 6 months of the booking no significant reductions of the invoice will be made.
Extra Fees
A 15% surcharge will be added to bookings made on Public Holiday Weekends (Fri-Mon).
For bookings which require a start time or significant travel time before 7am, an early start fee of $50 per hour will be added.
Cancellations
Any cancellations made within 6 months of the booking will be required to pay a 50% cancellation fee of the final invoice.
And in the case that I have to cancel your booking due to sickness or another significant personal event, a full refund of the services not provided will be made. And I will ensure every effort is made to help find a replacement stylist for your booking.
In the case of a cancellation or postponement occurring which is outside of the control of both parties (i.e. COVID restrictions), no further payment will be required above the 25% deposit.
Travel & Accomodation
I charge a $1.50/km of travel from Spreydon. This cost covers mileage and my time spent travelling which I cannot use with other clients.
For bookings outside of Christchurch (more than 2 hours drive starting prior to 7am), a 1 night stay is required at a cost of $250. Flights may also be arranged if the location allows, and transport to and from the airport must be provided.
Bridal Trials
Trials happen from my home studio in Spreydon. Most trials will happen on available Fridays and Saturdays in the off season, and when my availability permits. I will do my best to find time for a trial if it coincides with a preferred date, but please consider that this work is not full-time for me, and my availability is limited. If you would like a trial at a different location, we can arrange this for usual booking fees plus travel costs.
Imagery
With your permission I may share behind the scenes content of your day on my social media or website.
You or your photographer is also welcome to share any of the professional photos with me too (Please do!) And don't hesitate to let me know if you would not like anything from your day shared.
